Itinerary Planner - Shore Based - Southampton

We’re one of the world’s leading cruise companies. We deliver experiences that last a lifetime. We’ve luxury liners that take our customers to far-flung places across the globe – and we make sure they have a truly memorable time getting there. For our customers, we offer it all. And for our Itinerary Planner (P&O Cruises), there’s even more. Supporting our deployment plans through the delivery of optimised, cost effective and efficient ship itineraries, you’ll develop your career in one of the world’s fastest growing – and most fast paced – industries.

Drawing on your marine knowledge to ensure that resilience and safety are built into all you do, your focus will be on developing and maintaining stock and concept itineraries that maximise revenue, whilst minimising operating costs. This is a Itinerary Planner role with real variety. So, that means you’ll also progress itineraries through the various build stages, attend stakeholder meetings as the Itineraries and Fuel representative during planning and carry out tidal checks to make sure the proposed tidal call times are feasible.

We’re looking for an Itinerary Planner with the OOW Unlimited Certificate, a Foundation degree or HND in Nautical Studies or equivalent. Having sailed in the rank of 3rd Officer or held a similar position on shore in a maritime related discipline, you’ll also have organisational and MS Office skills (especially in Excel), and be able to extract and interpret nautical information from various marine resources to support the itinerary development process – including C-Map, Tidal data, Pilot Books and charts. An eye for detail will be vital too, combined with the ability to analyse numerical and written data. You will travel to Hamburg on a quarterly basis in order to build strong relationships with the team members based in the city.

So, if you’re passionate about planning, grow your career as Itinerary Planner (P&O Cruises) with a market-leading ship’s company that includes the prestigious P&O Cruises and Cunard Line brands.
