Do you have a strong UX background at a senior level with experience of the overall strategy for design? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

We have a very exciting opportunity to be the UX Director where you’ll be leading a team working on project across multiple platforms, websites and colleague facing software. This is a senior level leadership role with significant responsibility, creativity, technical expertise, and business acumen required. You’ll have a strong impact on the business progression where you can really shape the team for the future.

You’ll work very closely with strategic partners and Walmart International team members, so international travel will be required along with regular evening calls.

What you’ll be responsible for: Recruit and develop extraordinary talent, by coaching, managing and mentoring a team of colleagues across design, research and content in various locations. (e.g. UK, US, India).Establish and communicate effective design processes through a strong understanding of user-centered design techniques coupled with practical experience in how a UX team should collaborate cross-functionally for maximum effectiveness delivering solutions.Apply and further develop your experience in developing new approaches to UX based on industry best practices, including agile and lean product development methodologies.Drive multi-channel user experience strategy and innovation with successful delivery of product roadmaps.Gain strategic alignment within and across the organizationProvide overall design direction & approve prototypes, specification documentation and style guides.Present design work to UX, Business, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership and gain buy in on proposed approach.About you:

You’ll have a proven track record in a leadership position within UX and managed multiple teams (ideally globally) with the ability to set team objectives, promote new ways of working and improve efficiencies and process. You’ll have the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across leadership levels.
