If any of the above is ringing a bell, you’ll be pleased to hear that we’re looking for two Chefs / Cooks to join the catering team at The Bridges, a new luxury retirement development under our management.

Who are we?

Kingsdale Group manages property on behalf of private residential leaseholders. Our aim is that every development we manage is attractively presented, well maintained and staffed by friendly, helpful and efficient people. We want each development that we manage to be a source of pride to those who live there.

We now manage some 2,200 units on over 50 developments throughout England, of which over 1,600 properties are managed on behalf of retired home-owners.

The Bridges is a new luxury retirement development comprising of 62 apartments on the banks of the Macclesfield Canal. There are lovely communal areas including a restaurant, Owners lounge with patio area, activities studio, spa and therapy room and hairdressing salon. Easily accessible by road, The Bridges is just off the A537 with great links to the A523.

What will this role of Chef / Cook entail?

As a Chef / Cook at The Bridges, you’ll be the key ingredient in making the restaurant and catering functions a focal point for social activities between owners. You’ll be stepping in to a role where your creativity and passion for food will shine.

Imagine having the freedom to put together a menu that ties in with a particular theme… Saturday’s could be a black-tie dinner, Tuesday’s could be an Indian night – the possibilities are limitless, and as long as the owners are on board with it and it’s within budget, you’ll have the full support of your colleagues in bringing your culinary ideas and themes to life.

You’ll be working with high quality fresh produce and catering for around 20 to 40 covers on average a day, although this can vary. You’ll work to a budget and also be responsible for the ordering and delivery of fresh produce and general provisions.

Working closely with the General Manager and Duty Managers to plan and agree menus, you’ll take into consideration any dietary requirements of individual owners and make sure a varied and nutritionally balanced menu is delivered.

What will I receive in return?

As a Chef / Cook at The Bridges, you’ll receive a salary of £20,592 (pro rata, equivalent to £11 per hour), along with an enhanced pension scheme.

Contract: Permanent, working circa 15-20 hours per week, comprising 5 to 6 hour shifts. Flexibility is available with working days and times, to be discussed further at interview.
