We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to start in April 2019 and launch our new operation, establishing The Grill as one of Manchester's dining hot spots.

Set to transform The Piccadilly Basin, Dakota Manchester has announced it will open to guests in May 2019, promising to be the city’s most anticipated and luxurious hotel.

Situated on Ducie Street, close to Piccadilly Station in an eight-story purpose-built structure, Dakota Manchester will offer a quality of hotel unparalleled in Manchester, complete with beautiful spaces, luxurious details and waterside views. An onsite chauffeur service and a team of dedicated butlers will be available for all guests.

Dakota will be home to 137 luxury bedrooms, including 27 suites - the most in the city, a destination cocktail bar with Champagne room, and a brasserie style grill with private dining rooms.

CONTRACT AND REWARD

The role carries a permanent contract for 45 hours per week. Working pattern is any 5 days out of 7, working mainly late shifts.

Earnings are up to £28,000pa, paid on a monthly basis.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Bar & Grill Manager, the primary responsibilities of the role are to have the overarching responsibility of the bar operation. This includes:

-Run service within the restaurant from breakfast through to dinner, offering VIP service levels to all guests and coordinating heavily with the Bar team.

-Drive the commercial running of the Restaurant including managing payroll costs by writing the departmental rota, sequence of service, as well as driving a culture of sales through service.

-Be directly responsible for and provide daily management of the restaurant team, and hosts, ensuring efficiency and the highest standards of service provision at all times.

-Implement training plans and deliver on-the-job training to drive the smoothest, most polished levels of guest service throughout the food and beverage operation.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

If you are a motivational leader and love working with people, then Dakota could be the perfect hotel for you. The candidate we are seeking will have:

-At least 2 years experience as a Supervisor or above in a similar calibre of full-service restaurant with experience in writing rotas, delivering training, and daily people management

-Skills in sincere hospitality and service provision

-Demonstrably strong knowledge of wines

-An understanding of luxury hotel standards and premium products

-Ability to work at pace and fully flexible with shift patterns

-Natural host and outgoing people person
