Restaurant Manager - Holiday Inn Dumfries

We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager to join our friendly, hard-working team at the Holiday Inn, Dumfries. Set amongst some of the finest scenery in Scotland the hotel is situated within a historic & award-winning 85 acre estate of parkland & gardens. The hotel boasts 71 bedrooms, an onsite bar & restaurant & conference & banqueting facilities for up to 80 guests.

As Restaurant Manager, you will need proven management experience within a good quality restaurant, you must be able to demonstrate excellent people skills, training, developing & driving your team, whilst maximizing every opportunity to increase sales, resulting in an efficient & smooth service that creates an ambiance second to none.

You will need ambition & personality to be able to market the business as well as manage all financial aspects in order to drive the department successfully. We will be looking for someone that has flair, a great personality, & will leave their mark on this restaurant.

You must be able to keep calm under pressure, be confident, organised, maintain a hands on management culture, & have exceptional attention to detail. Motivating your team to drive great service delivery is a MUST. This can be a very busy environment.

You will oversee your own profit centre, so a keen business outlook is key. Wage & gross profit control will be a day to day challenge. You will need to be able to embrace the restaurant concept & treat it as your own.

The bar area regularly sees guests enjoying delicious cocktails whilst relaxing with friends, family and colleagues.
