Swingers – the crazy golf club are looking for an outstanding Assistant General Manager – Guest Experience to ensure the seamless operation of the reception, course and floor. Swingers - the crazy golf club, consists of two fantastic venues that combine crazy golf, street food and cocktails to create one incredible social experience. Both the City and West End venues have two nine-hole crazy golf courses, private hire areas, at least three different street food vendors and high-quality cocktail bars. What will you be doing as our Assistant General Manager - Guest Experience?

  • Responsible and accountable with the management team for the venue P&L from Revenue through to EBITDA with personal responsibility, focus, and accountability on the profitability and efficiency of the FOH teams (Reception, course, and floor)
  • Identifying, suggesting, and implementing appropriate and creative measures to meet venue revenue and profit targets monitoring performance
  • Initiating, implementing, and measuring promotional activities, including staff incentives
  • Making sure all monies accrued during service are accounted for, banked securely and all relevant paperwork has been completed correctly and signed accordingly
  • Pro-actively controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies
  • Providing the submission of weekly departmental schedules in line with revenue forecasts and ensuring working hours are adjusted according to anticipated revenue
  • Providing monthly inventory of non-food and beverage items (electronic equipment, printed materials, golf-suppliers, etc)
  • Safeguarding that FOH costs are maintained in line with revenue without compromising the brand
  • Ensuring the on-going training and coaching of team members to secure service and quality standards are consistently met
  • Providing that guest enquiries are addressed in a timely, professional, and effective manner
  • Staying up to date with the recruitment process for employees through HR, incl. advertisement, screening of application, and initial interviews
  • Interviewing employees where necessary in accordance with the Employee Journey
  • Ensuring recruitment meets department and venue needs and training is conducted in line with Company standards and statutory guidance
  • Devising and implementing appropriate department succession planning for all staff, supervisors, and Duty Managers
  • Identifying and putting forward suitable candidates for Department Duty Manager and Supervisor positions, as needed through internal job posting processes
  • Critically assessing and reviewing department’s leadership, staff, systems, and efficiency regularly for the purpose of improving overall performance
  • Daily / weekly financial reports are accurately completed and submitted within deadlines

What makes you our perfect Assistant General Manager - Guest Experience?

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Senior Management role within high volume, experiential/hospitality led quality venue.
  • Strong financial acumen is a must for this role!
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Personal license holder
  • The ability to manage under pressure and make decisions in real time.
  • The experience to operate at a high level under the direction of the management team.
  • The ability to manage multiple operational and managerial tasks simultaneously.
  • Personal maturity to deal with confidential information and/or issues with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Ideally you will have been an AGM or GM before within a high-volume, hospitality / experiential business in London.
