General Manager- Hotel, Golf and Leisure Club - Macclesfield, Cheshire

Six-Figure package

 

We are looking for a General Manager to manage a fabulous Private Members Golf Club, Health Club and hotel in Cheshire for an award-winning expanding brand.

 

There are fantastic benefits including a competitive basic salary depending on experience, significant bonus potential, generous contributory pension, healthcare and car allowance taking the overall package to £100K+.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend time with your guests/members to ensure they are at the heart of everything you do.
  • Leading, coaching, developing and inspiring your 100+ team members to deliver an incredible customer experience.
  • Support your leadership team to develop their golf, fitness, spa, conference and banqueting, food and beverage and event offering to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time to maximise participation, aid retention and improve the bottom line.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to develop their strategy to drive occupancy, new member sales and events.
  • Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
  • Ensure the property and grounds are well maintained, clean and safe at all times.

 

Person Specification:

  • Highly engaging, professional, ambitious and obsessed with service and operational standards.
  • Front of house approach to leadership with the ability to step up to provide strategic direction.
  • Experience in building and developing high performing teams fostering a culture of excellence.
  • At least 5-years- U.K. based experience as a General Manager, Resort General Manager or Resort Director ideally in a 4*+ property incorporating extensive leisure (golf, fitness, spa) facilities and accommodation/hotel services.
  • Experience and track record in growing club membership.
  • An advocate of living an active healthy lifestyle.
  • The ability to commute daily to Macclesfield (no accommodation is provided)
