Location: THE PIG at Bridge Place, Canterbury, Kent

Salary: £32,000 - £36,750 PA (DOE) Plus Service Charge

In the busy months our restaurant team have earnt up to £500 in service charge per month, whilst service charge varies depending on bookings with the staycation concept thriving, you can do the maths.

Hours: 45 Hours PW

The Restaurant is the beating heart of THE PIG. We offer our guests a daily changing menu which is dedicated to the ingredients grown within our own kitchen garden and fresh produce provided by our local suppliers. We can guarantee each service to be different, fun, and full of atmosphere!

As a Restaurant Manager at The PIG you must have the ability to host a room, setting the tone for a relaxed yet professional style of service that’s guaranteed to ensure our guests can sit back and enjoy their time with us.

Our Restaurant team is diverse, with varied experience and abilities on display you will need to train, plan and develop their skills to collectively provide a quality service to our guests. The ideal Restaurant Manager at THE PIG will show creativity and empowerment to those around them by giving that little extra in everything they do.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Driving excellent service standards within the Restaurant.
  • Managing Restaurant covers, ensuring all reservations are met.
  • Developing the restaurant team, encouraging growth.
  • Organisation of the team rota's and staffing of the restaurant.
  • Recruiting restaurant staff.
  • Present both on the floor, in front of guests whilst also working behind the scenes.
  • Adhering to all health and safety requirements.
  • Working closely with our chefs and kitchen team regarding the menu.
  • Carry out menu/service briefings
  • Serving guests and working collaboratively with all other HOD's / departments.

Experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager is desired, along with excellent people skills.
