About the Pub

The Norwood is a beautiful local pub within walking distance of Cheltenham town centre, located in Leckhampton. Leckhampton has the best of both worlds, a village high street feel but close to all the amenities of a large town. Cheltenham itself is a spa town, with a rich history including Cheltenham ladies college, literary & jazz festivals and of course the racecourse which includes in its calendar the Gold Cup.

Operating the mainstream menu for Greene King, this local pub has always been popular for food - so a passion for delivering a branded menu to spec quickly with friendly service is key to building the sales further. The pub was invested in at the end of summer 2018 so has a fresh relaxed look which has gone down well in the community. It benefits from a large garden and when the sun comes out it pushes the sales. There is a popular weekly quiz, occasional acoustic music and has previously hosted larger events in the garden like the ukulele festival.

The pub itself is zoned well with distinct dining and bar areas, as well as an area that lends itself well to functions or private parties. The large car park brings in morning trade for coffee & cake or a late breakfast, lunchtimes are brisk due to proximity to Leckhampton shops, and evenings offer relaxed dining with regulars from the surrounding houses. There is good bar trade including an excellent reputation for cask ales and a large range of Gins.
