Location: Water Meadows Swimming And Fitness Complex, Mansfield, NG18 1BA

Working Hours: Part Time, 10 Hours per week

Salary: Up to £8.90 per hour

 

As part of Mansfield District Leisure Trust, Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex is currently recruiting for a Part Time Café Assistant to work 10 hours per week every Wednesday between 9am – 6pm and one other day Saturday or Sunday between 9am – 4pm, with the option of flexible working.

 

Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex offers everything you need for a great family  visit. The leisure pool is packed with water rides to keep both adults and children entertained, whilst the competition pool and fitness suite provide for those seeking a more active visit.

 

About

The Cafe Assistant`s role is to work within the catering team to achieve high standards of service and customer care at all times. The role will also ensure food is hygienically prepared and served in accordance with standards laid down by the Catering Supervisor.

 

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout.
• Undertake and record temperature checks and ensure high standards of food hygiene are maintained.
• Ensure customers are served promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure financial and cash handling procedures are complied with.
• Prepare food and beverages as necessary in accordance with cafe menus.
• Replenish stocks within the cafe and vending machines.
• Ensure the Company Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and all relevant Food Safety Legislation and smoke free law is complied with.

 

Specific Requirements

• Hold a Certificate in Food Hygiene or a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety or equivalents are essential
• Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning, or equivalent is desirable
• Proven experience of working in a similar environment is desirable
• Health & Safety/COSHH awareness/knowledge
• Good communication and customer care skills
• To be able to work as part of a team and be flexible in your approach to the demanding needs of this service
